Mrs McVeigh, Grange Farm

We completed a recent renovation for a Mrs McVeigh. The customer wanted to improve the look and performance of their property while still matching the existing décor. Mrs McVeigh wanted two brand new French doors that connected her home and garden, giving her easier access to her exterior. Our customer wanted an update to her property that was energy-efficient, secure and weatherproof.

Mrs McVeigh initially had a set of French doors as well as a set of casement windows in her home. These required an upgrade as they had reached the end of their lifespan. As they were now underperforming, the doors and windows needed to be changed with our high-quality double glazing products.

The customer decided on replacement French doors on the existing doors in place. She also wanted to a complete renovation of the windows she had in place with a set of French doors. We agreed to take on the task so our customer could enjoy her home improvement and was left satisfied with the finish.

Planning

We discussed the options for this renovation with the customer, conveying our ideas and listening to Mrs McVeigh’s preferences. We discussed with her that we would remove the bottom brick section from underneath the existing casement windows., as well as the windows themselves. This would give us the perfect-size area to install the doors.

We then discussed the various customisation options with the customer. We showed Mrs McVeigh our variety of colours, including woodgrain finishes. We also went through the hardware options, including the handle accessories we offer.

Chosen Design

Mrs McVeigh decided on two sleek French doors in classic White from our swatch chart. This was chosen to match the look of the existing windows on the property. The durable paint finish won’t crack, warp, rot or distort over time. During the most extreme weather, is will look just-like-new.

She also decided on contemporary silver handle locks. These are integrated with high-secure multi-point locking mechanisms. Not only do they add a modern touch to the appearance, but they are incredibly tough and will keep unwanted intruders from forcing entry.

Benefits

Following the installation, our customer can enjoy a wealth of practical benefits. The newly fitted French doors will improve energy efficiency significantly. Fitted with expansive double glazing, the glass works to retain heat inside the property, preventing heat loss. As well as this, the insulating profile maintains the optimum temperature inside.

By utilising the existing heating, our customer can take advantage of lower energy bills. As well as this, using up less energy result sin fewer emissions produced by the household. This, in turn, will help reduce the carbon footprint of the household. This will result in a positive environmental impact with the sustainable home improvement.
